What Does AutoMat Do?
Our Mission is to Deliver Comfort and Efficiency To Veterinary Exams.
At AutoMat, we believe that the veterinary experience for pets, pet parents, and the veterinary staff can be a great one! Our goal is to create a relaxing environment for pets, save clinics time and money, promote stellar sanitation practices, all while keeping it eco-friendly. We've only just started, but we already know that AutoMat can be the solution clinics are seeking.
Our Story
In Spring 2018, our team met at an animal health hackathon. All coming from a veterinary background, we were determined to create a product aligned with the Fear Free movement that would improve the veterinary exam experience. The slippery exam tables is one of the greatest sources of fear in the clinic. Current non-slip solutions are not easily disinfected and are harmful to the environment. We aimed to create the first self-disinfecting and non-slip mat that is eco-friendly. The idea of AutoMat was formed.
The Problem

Why AutoMat?
By having a retractable non-slip mat, AutoMat will help pets feel more secure
when they receive their physical exams on the stainless steel table. The UVC
component expedites the table mat disinfection process between patients,
saving clinics time and money. With our patented technology, AutoMat’s usage
as a non-slip, self-disinfecting mat has broad applicability in fields outside of
veterinary medicine such as laboratories, food processing, grocery stores, and
other healthcare facilities.
As pet owners and staff at small animal clinics, we have witnessed two
problems in the veterinary exam room:
1. Many animals suffer with anxiety during examinations
2. Tables were not being cleaned properly between each patient

Simple Setup
Easily install AutoMat on any exam table for a safe and comfortable exam visit.
Upon Exam
The non-slip mat helps reduce fear and stress for the pet during their examination.
Exam Complete
When the exam is complete, AutoMat retracts back into the UVC light container to be disinfected.
